Rapid Aid for a Resilient Israel
Our Mission
After the devastating attacks of October 7th, 2023, Israel has faced immense challenges: lives lost, hostages held by Hamas, and wars in Gaza and Lebanon. Every Israeli has felt the impact—physically, financially, and emotionally.
In the face of grief and trauma, Israelis have united across religious, political, and cultural divides. Social initiatives have emerged nationwide, led by inspiring entrepreneurs and driven by resilience, creativity, and a shared commitment to meet unprecedented needs.
These initiatives are the work of everyday people who stepped into the breach, filled the gaps in a broken society, and brought light to others in the darkest hours. Community-led and driven by a deep desire to serve, they rose to the challenge created by a fractured society. These efforts are grassroots movements born from resilience and compassion.
Daybreak was founded to channel vital financial support to these dynamic efforts. Every dollar donated goes directly to impactful projects, meeting urgent needs and restoring Israel’s social strength and unity during this critical time.

Daybreak Grantee Case Studies
Wounded soldiers returning home often face significant physical and emotional challenges. Their homes, however, are not always equipped to meet their evolving needs, making day-to-day life difficult and recovery even harder.
The Solution
The Call-Up Notice for Interior Designers initiative mobilized a network of 300 interior designers, alongside contractors, handymen, and other skilled professionals, to transform these soldiers' living spaces. Together, they renovated homes to accommodate physical accessibility and provide supportive, healing environments tailored to each soldier’s physical and mental well-being.
The Impact
By redesigning and adapting these homes, the initiative has empowered wounded soldiers to regain independence, comfort, and dignity, enabling them to live fuller lives. This grassroots effort is a testament to the power of creativity, collaboration, and compassion in rebuilding lives.
The war displaced thousands of families, leaving them in temporary homes without essential furnishings and forcing them to rely on others—a deeply emotional and practical challenge.
The Solution
The Home Front transformed a 16,000-square-foot donated hangar into a home furnishing center. Staffed by volunteers, including designers, carpenters, and therapists, it provides families with furniture, appliances, and emotional support. Families work with an interior designer—and, when needed, a psychologist or social worker—to create spaces that feel like home. Free delivery ensures dignity and ease.
The Impact
More than 2,500 families have regained a sense of stability and comfort, proving that a home is not just a space—it’s the foundation for healing and hope.
When families fled their homes hastily, they left behind unfinished chores and open spaces that deteriorated over time. Spoiled food, moldy refrigerators, dirt, and debris turned once-safe havens into painful reminders of their sudden departure.
The Solution
The Returning to a Clean House project mobilized volunteers to restore these homes, ensuring families could return to clean, functional, and welcoming spaces. Volunteers scrubbed floors, washed dishes, cleared spoiled food, and removed dirt and dust—transforming homes into places of comfort instead of trauma.
The Impact
Over 220 homes across Sderot, Ashkelon, and nearby communities were cleaned, allowing displaced families to restart their lives from a better place, both physically and emotionally, whenever they are able to return.
Israeli soldiers face worn-out uniforms, faulty equipment, and extended time in harsh conditions, creating discomfort and lowering morale. These practical needs often go unmet in the field.
The Solution
Bus Line 8 – Mobile Combat Support Unit transformed a donated bus from the Dan transport company into a mobile sewing workshop that repairs uniforms and equipment on-site. Recognizing additional needs, they expanded to include two mobile units offering haircuts and medical pedicures—critical services for soldiers wearing heavy boots for long hours. The units travel daily, coordinating with field commanders to reach soldiers wherever they are needed.
The Impact
With the support of 15 dedicated volunteers, the project has provided essential repairs and services to over 60,000 soldiers, improving their comfort, morale, and readiness on the frontlines.
