The Home Front

Independence day Ceremony in Jerusalem.
Orly Robinson the leader of Daybreak grantee The Home Front, has led critical relief efforts for displaced families since the war began. In recognition of her incredible service, she had the great national honor of being asked to light one of the torches at the official 2025/5785 Independence Day ceremony in Jerusalem. Her work is a tribute to the kind of leadership you’re helping to uplift.
The Challenge
The war displaced thousands of families, leaving them in temporary homes without essential furnishings and forcing them to rely on others—a deeply emotional and practical challenge.
The Solution
The Home Front transformed a 16,000-square-foot donated hangar into a home furnishing center. Staffed by volunteers, including designers, carpenters, and therapists, it provides families with furniture, appliances, and emotional support. Families work with an interior designer—and, when needed, a psychologist or social worker—to create spaces that feel like home. Free delivery ensures dignity and ease.
The Impact
More than 2,500 families have regained a sense of stability and comfort, proving that a home is not just a space—it’s the foundation for healing and hope.
